What Is A Pet Sitter?

Pet sitters do much more than provide your pets with food and water while you are away from home. A good pet sitter also spends quality time with your pet, gives him exercise and knows how to tell if he needs veterinary attention. What's more, we offer additional services, such as taking in mail and newspapers, watering plants and altering your lights and blinds to give your home a "lived in" look to deter potential burglers.

Where Do I Start?

All you need to do to get started is call us or send a request through our online form. Stay and Play will contact you to set up an initial consultation, which is free of charge. This meeting takes place at your home, so that you may have the opportunity to meet us and we can meet your "family". At this time, we will complete all of the necessary paperwork to ensure that we can properly take care of your pets and home while you are away. This is also a great time to ask us any questions you may have so that you can feel confident about leaving your pets in our care.

Will You Keep My Pets At Your Home?

This is not a service that we provide. Stay and Play is a true pet sitting service that believes your pets experience the least amount of trauma by staying in their familiar, secure surroundings.

Can You Provide References?

Yes, we provide references upon request at the time we schedule your initial consultation so that you may have time to contact these references before our meeting.

What Other Services Do You Provide?

We will also water your plants, bring in the mail and newspaper, and alter the lights and blinds while you are away. This gives your home a "lived-in" look for added security. If you have many plants that require watering, extra time may be required which will be determined by Stay and Play at the initial consultation.

Will You Provide Care For Aggressive Pets?

If your pet has a history of aggressive behavior towards strangers entering the home, boarding is the safer option for him. Stay and Play wants to ensure that we are able to enter the home and care for your pets properly while you are away.
